It’s that feeling... the unexplainable feeling when women get together, building each other up and doing something extraordinary together! It’s that feeling when you do something you never thought possible. It’s that feeling when you fall down but get back up and keep going. It’s that feeling when nothing else in the world matters. It’s that feeling that is 100% you... your authentic self in the moment doing something just for you.

Dirtastic is a space for just that. We are here to facilitate, encourage and build confidence in women who ride. It seems simple, but it is so much more that just that. Feelings are something we cannot purchase or make up, they are from the core.

Camping at the beautiful Washougal MX Park

The Main Event May 31-June 2 at the famous Washougal MX Park was incredible! 170 women packed up, loaded up and showed up for The Main Event, our first of many to come!

Friday the gates opened at 4pm. Women driving trucks, RVs and trailer of all sizes pulled in bearing smiles and full of stoke! Moto Gear Eugene started The Main Event off with a fabulous Happy Hour, Taco Bar and lawn games.

Husqvarna Motorcycles led demo rides during The Main Event on the off-road trail loop around the property with a fleet of FE250’s that were set up to accommodate a smaller/lighter built rider as many women are.

We rolled into Saturday morning early with espresso provided by See See Motor Coffee followed by a packed session of yoga with Chaney Compher. Meanwhile, the ladies geared up for a riders welcome and meeting. Soon after, our Mini Skills Sessions broke off into the first of two sessions for the day. All levels, novice to expert found their coaches and proceeded to spend 2 hours with drills learning basics to perfecting gate drop starts!

The entire day was focused on one thing, riding! Each attendee had the opportunity to ride the main motocross track, beginner track, grass track and a network of trails including single track. It’s was a sight to see! Washougal MX came to life, but in a way that’s never been experienced! The energy, it was vibrant and full of life!

“I came to this event not knowing one person and barely having any experience on a dirt bike. I naturally had a lot of anxious nerves in the beginning, however every woman that I came to meet at this event showed such genuine support and encouragement. They didn’t just make me feel comfortable, they made me feel empowered.

I left this event with new friends and multiple milestones and successes on (and off) the bike. It truly shows how powerful women are when they come together.

Someone explained that it’s the feeling you leave with after the event that’s both indescribable and powerful, I couldn’t agree more because I’m still sitting in this feeling today.” -Brittney Palsa, Mountainist Scholarship Winner

After the day of riding wrapped up, beverages started flowing, Hawaiian Style BBQ (The Local Grind) was served and the music started! Vitamin D took over the stage, heads started to bob and into the night we went! Midway through we rolled out the raffle with huge prizes provided by our sponsors Husqvarna Motorcycles, Rekluse, Factory Connection, Von Zipper, Mountainist, Bell, Giant Loop, R + Co, Kate’s Real Food, See See Motorcycles and Dirt Bandit were announced, raising over 1.5k to benefit the Kurt Caselli Foundation! Rock on!
Music, dancing and the photo booth ran into the wee hours Saturday night.

Sunday “Funday” started with See See Motor Coffee espresso, low clouds and a cozy vibe. Sunday was full on FUN... Just about riding, chilling and soaking it all in. The Motosport.com races wrapped up the the weekend. The Slow Race, Small Bike, Big Bike and most impressively, Panty Race! Dirtastic ended on a high note with smiles, laughs and that feeling! THIS is what it’s all about!

Thank you to everyone who made The Main Event possible!

Attendees, sponsors, coaches, volunteers, partners and friends… Your love, support and hard work made for a perfect weekend!
