Q: Who is the Main Event for?

A: The Main Event is a weekend full of dirt biking and camping for all women* (16+). Whether you are a beginner or Pro, this weekend is all about riding, meeting other badass women and having a great time on two wheels!

*If you were born a male AND identify as male, The Main Event is not for you.

Q: When can I arrive?

A: You are welcome to arrive* Thursday 4-10pm, Friday 6am-10pm, Saturday 6am-10pm and Sunday 6am-9am. DO NOT arrive early and park/camp along the road, specifically on Jacksonville River Road/Forest Park. You will be ticketed and towed. *times subject to change

Q: Is it weird if I come to the Main Event solo?

A: No way! A lot of riders show up solo and we have a Solo Rider Social on Thursday night to help you connect with other badass ladies! You’ll make #fastfriends in no time!

Q: Where is the Main Event?

A: The Main Event is on 1200 acres of private property known as Johns Peak, owned, maintained and operated by the M.R.A. (Motorcycle Riders Association) in Jacksonville, OR just outside of Medford, OR bordering BLM land. There are maps available HERE, but just know that there are a ton of single tracks and unmarked trails between the official mapped trails. We will have easy to follow marked loops for all levels!

Q: Where should I stay?

A: There is a TON of camping in the woods at John’s Peak for tent campers to toy haulers. Please be aware the road in is steep. It is likely the most challenging part of the weekend, however doable if your are chill. Big rigs (Over 30ft in total length) will need to purchase an oversized parking pass.

Q: Do I have to camp?

A: No, you may come and go during the weekend, but we think the camping part will be pretty dang fun! Jacksonville, Central Point, Ashland and Medford are nearby.

Q: Is there a way to find people to carpool with?

A: Yes! We have a carpool page set up HERE.

Q: Do I need a ticket if I just want to ride?

A: Yes! We have a weekend full of epic riding, camping, swag bags, Mini Moto Relays, bonfires, Fireside Chats, raffles, good times, unforgettable memories and more! We promise, it'll be worth it!

Q: Is there a day pass option?

A: And miss out on the whole enchilada? What?! We have created an unforgettable weekend for the ladies! Hang out with us and see why it’s such a rad weekend!

Q: I can only come 1 or 2 days, is there a discounted pass?

A: See above! The Main Event Pass price does not change based on arrival or departure day/time. Don't worry if you can't be there the whole time, every moment of the Main Event has something happening.

Q: What level do I have to be for the Main Event?

A: The Main Event is for all levels of riders, from beginner to expert. You just need your own bike. There is truly terrain for every level of rider! You may find your Dirtastic Level HERE. (Please do not guess ‘cause we majorly changed the Dirtastic Rider Levels for 2023!)

Q: What type of bike do I need?

A: The Main Event is for dirt bikes with knobby tires. Generally 500cc and below are ideal. If you are unsure, please send a message to Kalyn at Braap@dirtastic.com

Q: I don’t have a bike. Can I rent a bike?

A: Unfortunately, rental bikes are hard to come by, so we can suggest a Google search or asking the Dirtastic Facebook community if anyone has a bike they’d share.

Q: What gear do I need?

A: A DOT/Snell approved helmet is required while on a dirt bike/motorcycle at the Main Event. Moto boots, jersey, pants, gloves, chest protector and knee guards are all highly recommended. Don't have everything you need or want to freshen up you gear? Visit www.flyracing.com to shop till you drop! We will send you a more in depth packing list as we approach the Main Event.

Q: Do I need an OHV Sticker or spark arrestor?

A: Yes, you will need a current OHV permit from any state who currently reciprocates with Oregon. Find more information HERE or purchase your Oregon OHV permit HERE. We will be riding in the forest on private property and YES spark arrestors are required.

Q: So I'm an expert level rider, will the Main Event be fun?

A: Kacy Martinez had a great time at the Main Event and she’s won the most National Championships to date. If she had fun, anyone can! An expert level river should be able to show up, sniff out the goods and navigate to the best terrain John’s Peak has to offer!

Q: How old/young do I have to be to participate?

A: Our average rider age at Dirtastic is 37, so that means if you’re in your 40’s and 50’s you aren’t too old! Under 18? Please contact us! (All riders 16-18 years old must be accompanied by a legal female parent/guardian for the weekend with a signed release form.)

Q: How many women will be at the Main Event?

A: 200 ish women from the US and Canada!

Q: Will there be food at the Main Event?

A: Don’t want to pack groceries or worry about cooking food for the weekend?

Sweet Tea Express will be onsite ALL weekend long serving up hot coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, non alcoholic beverages and all the snacks. Don’t forget to add on your all-inclusive meal ticket and leave the cooking to us!

(Yes, we have something for everyone including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc dietary needs)

Q: I have dietary restrictions, will there be something for me?

A: Absolutely! There will be vegan, vegetarian, gluten & dairy-free options available.

Q: Can I bring my Pup?

A: Imagine if everyone brings their dogs…there would be a lot of poop to scoop! The weekend is for riding, so please leave the pups at home.

Q: What about my kids?

A: Hard no. Leave your kids at home and a weekend with your favorite #fastfriends!

Q: Can I bring a guy?

A: Nope. Dirtastic events are for the ladies! If you need/want someone to drop you off that is totally ok, but that someone will have to leave the property immediately.

Q: Can a guy (friend, dad, boyfriend, husband, etc) drop me off at the Main Event?

A: Yes, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible and if that means having help from a guy, that's fine. HOWEVER THEY MUST leave the property once your camp area is set up. Please do not try to sneak them in or have them stay at the Main Event... we will politely ask them to leave and we really don't want to have to police this.

Q: I'm a dude, can I just spectate at the Main Event?

A: If you have read the above questions and are still asking… Thanks for your interest, but that’s kinda creepy!

If you were born a male AND identify as male, The Main Event is not for you.

Q: Can my friend come and hang out but not ride?

A: Sure, but they will need a Main Event Pass to get in.

Q: What if it rains?

A: The Main Event is rain or shine! Thankfully John’s Peak can handle moisture, so the riding should be prime no matter what!

Q: Is there cellular and wifi?

A: There is spotty cell service and no wifi, unless you come equipped with Starlink. We hope you will enjoy the great outdoors and survive a weekend (mostly) disconnected from reality!

Q: Is there a medic?

A: Yes, we will have a medic on site throughout the weekend during open riding hours.

Q: I want to sell stuff or promote my brand, event, group during the Main Event… can I?

A: No, there is no vending on site or promoting your brand at the Main Event (ie: hand out stickers, hang a banner, etc) unless you have pre arranged and paid for a vendor booth. Please contact Kalyn at Braap@dirtastic.com before April 15th if you are interested.

Q: Can I bring and use drugs and alcohol at the Main Event?

A: Do not drink and/or take drugs and think you are cool to operate your car or motorcycle. It's dangerous and not worth getting the boot. After riding hours are a different story as long as whatever you choose to bring is legal and you don’t drive/ride.

Q: I have more questions, who do I contact?

A: Please be sure to fully look over details on our website, TicketSpice page, and e-mail blasts. Still have questions? We can be reached by email at braap@dirtastic.com

Q: What are the cancellation and refund policies?

A: See "Cancellations & Refunds" below.

SKILLS SESSIONS & THINGS

Q: Will there be Skills Sessions and training available?

A: Yes! Buuut it’s 100% up to you if you want to have training during the Main Event. There is a TON of trail riding to be had at John’s Peak. If you want to take a Session you will need to preregister for Skills Sessions before you arrive. If there are Sessions available onsite we will open them up for purchase (cash only).

Q: How do I know what Skills Session is right for me based on my riding ability?

A: Check out our custom Dirtastic Skills Rating page HERE to find out what level to sign up for!

A: Yes, our insurance policy requires all riders who are participating in any Dirtastic Skills Sessions and Training to have an annual or one day AMA Membership which can be found HERE.

Q: Can anyone join a group ride?

A: Totally. Just meet at one of the group ride sign during designated times. Group rides are split up by level, so just remember what level you are!

Q: What are Fireside Chats?

A: Our coaches will share insights on Race Prep, Mountain Riding Prep, Nutrition and Mindset. Come hang by the fire and get inspired!

Q: What else happens at night?

A: We keep it fairly mellow, ‘cause riding is our number one focus! That being said, you can get rowdy if that’s for you but also be ready to hang by the fire, share stories from the day, eat tasty food, make s’mores, wear a costume, have a dance party and enjoy the Mini Moto Relays!
